One of the difficult things about life is also one of it's greatest tenants; uncertainty. Because the path to our future is unclear and unmarked, we travel this road sometimes with fear and trepidation, not knowing what will greet us at the next turn. Perhaps it will be a trial that we will have to deal with and grow from, but maybe, just maybe, it will be something that will change the course of our life into a direction that will bring us incredible opportunity. We just do not know.
What we can know is that we should forge ahead with determination and hope that we will be able to experience and accomplish the things that are most important to us. This requires that we put fear and hesitancy behind us and move toward the future with the expectancy of good things. It is an interesting phenomenon that happens to those who seek for and expect good things to happen; they usually encounter that things (in one form or another) that they were seeking. The same holds true of those who are looking for trouble ahead. Sure enough, it seems that trouble is right there waiting for them. That says a lot about positive thinking, wouldn't you agree. Somehow, it is a lot more important than just putting a smile on our face and looking toward the sunshine. Somehow, the "forces that be" reward a positive attitude.
What is it that you want to accomplish in your life? Do you love to learn and to teach the things you have learned to others? Are you gifted at dance or music or sports? Even if you do not feel that you are particularly "gifted", do you have an interest or desire to excel at something? Hopefully, every single person has something that they would like to accomplish. The key to getting something accomplished is to BEGIN. Put your thoughts and hopes into action. Work toward that goal by taking steps in the right direction and then sticking with it. When obstacles appear (as they surely will), work around them but do not stop. Understand that often times it is the very obstacles that we have to overcome that lead us to the very place we want to go. The irony is that sometimes we do not even realize that at the time.
When opportunity knocks at the door do not delay answering until you have "tidied things up" and got everything in order. If you take the time to do that, chances are very good that when you get around to answering the door, nothing will be there. Opportunity very likely will have wandered down the road to another, more eager and receptive individual.
